Is Lactezin effective?
In An Open Clinical Trial to Determine the Efficacy of Lactoferrin plus Vitamin E and Zinc in Adults, respondents were instructed to take one capsule twice a day for 12 weeks. The number of comedones was counted over the course of the trial. Skin oiliness and pore minimizing effects were also graded.
Statistical analysis of the comedones (Figure 1) showed a significant reduction on the 1st until the 12th week of usage. The highest percentage of comedone reduction was noted in the 12th week.
It also showed significant surface oil reduction, as well as pore minimizing effects during the trial.
There were also no adverse effects during the duration of the study.
